    Overview of the Dialogue System

    The dialogue system in Adventures of Conquest is quite powerful! It emphasizes interactions between characters with different personality types.

    Characters and NPCs can refer to each other, address the personality of their listener, react to certain variables (like having a special Skill or Ability) and can even have multiple variations for the same dialogue part.

    The player can select dialogue options, which can also appear based on certain variables. Dialogue options can be scrolled and selected with the mouse.

    Player characters can also communicate over a distance, even when the group is split up and each character is at a different corner of the current area. This is possible via a magical trinket, and makes having conversations less frustrating. Depending on which player character is selected, the NPCs may provide different reponses.
